Ricordo che fin dagli anni 80′ quando frequentavo gli ambienti della fotografia dei circoli fotoamatoriali c’erano autori i quali piuttosto che condividere con gli altri i loro metodi, le loro tecniche le loro idee, si sarebbero lasciati morire. Un atteggiamento negativo ed eticamente scorretto specialmente se riferito al concetto di associazione che dovrebbe essere piuttosto un luogo di scambio. Persone a volte anche brave come fotografi ma piccole come uomini. Purtroppo questo alla lunga li ha chiusi nelle loro gabbie dorate non contribuendo, non solo alla crescita culturale della collettività ma anche alla propria. Personalmente ho sempre considerato che condividere le esperienze e le conoscenze con altre persone sia di molto la parte più importante ed appagante, per un autore, rispetto alla mera esibizione delle proprie opere. Per questo, quando mi è stato chiesto, sono stato orgoglioso di scambiare il mio sapere con coloro che desideravano, attraverso incontri e corsi. Iteressante anche l’attività di giurato in concorsi dove più mi interessa esporre le mie valutazioni piuttosto che semplicemente classificare. Anche quando ho partecipato ad esposizioni il mio spirito è sempre stato quello di voler evidenziare il ” che sensazione vi suggerisce” piuttosto che il “guardate quanto sono bravo io”
I remember that since the 80’s when I frequented the amateur photo circles there were authors who, rather than sharing their methods, their techniques, their ideas with others, would have let themselves die. A negative and ethically incorrect attitude especially when referring to the concept of association which should rather be a place of exchange. People who are sometimes good as photographers but small as men. Unfortunately this in the long run closed them in their golden cages, not contributing not only to the cultural growth of the community but also to their own. Personally I have always considered that sharing experiences and knowledge with other people is by far the most important and satisfying part, for an author, compared to the mere exhibition of their works. For this reason, when it was asked me, I was proud to exchange my knowledge with those who wished, through meetings and courses. Also interesting is the activity of juror in contests where I am more interested in exposing my evaluations rather than simply classifying. Even when I have participated in exhibitions my spirit has always been to want to highlight the “what feeling does it suggest” rather than the “look how great I am”
